The First Anime: Death Note

...Yeah, I know I said it would be something like Rozen Maiden, but I chose to just go with this. Look, I don't know what the big deal about this is at all. The plot was predictable for me, and I tried hard to like it. I watched about ten episodes in Japanese with English subtitles and one in English. I read about two volumes, and I found it boring. Smart, bored kid finds book dropped by bored Shinigami. Starts killing evil people in an attempt to make a "perfect world". People get mad about it, and send L to try and catch him. Let the boredom of cat and mouse begin! The animation of it was nice, and the Death Note concept was creative, but it wasn't expressed in the correct way. Another thing I have to admit was cool was the idea for how the Shinigami live. It really sets it apart from another anime with Shinigami in them. By the way, I could immediatly predict how the series ended. I looked it up on the Internet. What do you know? I was correct on the ending. I did also look at Death Note: Another Note though, and I found that significantly more interesting then the series itself. Overall, I have to rate it about three out of five. Average, in my opinion. The music in it was also pretty awesome, too. Something that would be worth watching if you had nothing to do and tons of time, though if you were looking for something with Shinigami, I'd go with something else.

A Few Thoughts about Anime

If you're reading this, you either randomly typed in an address, or you somehow found it. Anyway, ignoring that, this will most likely just be a blog on anime. Or something like that. Even though I personally only watch/read three series, I've read at least...twenty something other ones? I don't know. I try and learn Japanese, and so far I'm somewhere in between decent and awful. In case you can't tell, suika is Japanese for "watermelon". Yeah. It was completely random. I'll most likely try to update about an anime once a week, or if I'm lucky, twice. The first anime I most likely do it on will be Rosario + Vampire or Rozen Maiden.
